Quick Tip Tuesday

If you are a beginner crafter, my tip is to start simple.  An easy way to get started is to create with simple materials such as paper, glue, and scissors.  Making a simple greeting card is an excellent start for beginner crafters.

Two popular sizes for cards are A2 and 5x7.  An A2 card's dimensions are 4.25x5.5.  Premade notecards and envelopes are available at most craft and paper shops.  Start simple with background paper, a cutout,  a sticker, or hand lettering.  You can even print a greeting using free-to-use google docs and your home printer.

Don't forget to include a handwritten message inside to make your card personal.  Most of all, embrace the imperfections and have fun!

Quick Tip Tuesday

If you have a JoAnn store in your area, now is the time to shop while there is still a decent selection.  They currently have between 20 and 40% off with Christmas items at 70% off.  My tip is to shop in person because almost everything on the website is considered "sold out," and they will not be restocking.  I used to work part time at JoAnn as a second job.  I made some extra cash to support my craft habit.  I had to quit when COVID hit, though.  I really loved that job.

Now is the time to stock up on fabric and notions.  In my area, there really isn't an equivalent, so I will miss JoAnn.
